As a business owner and marketer, I find networking an invaluable tool in finding prospects and obtaining new clients. I belong to and I am active in several local networking groups and business associations.
I consider myself an extrovert and I can easily engage in conversations with anyone. However, the first time that I attended a business card exchange, I felt like a 12 year old at my first school dance… awkward, standing in the corner and not meeting anyone, that is, until an officer of that group introduced herself to me and brought me into a conversation with a few of the other members.
